Excitement in the Garden!

NO....we didn't have a Garden Party for The Royal Wedding! I'm talking of excitement of the horticultural kind.





The cherries are turning red already...much sooner than  I expected! Even more exciting (and a week ago, I didn't think there was anything more exciting!)....is THIS-



I put this 'Bird of Paradise' plant in, the first year we had the house(2006)...and this is the first time it has flowered! I am absolutely thrilled to bits....isn't nature wonderful?!

Thanks for the good wishes for mum....she's had a reasonable day today.
