FIRST CLASS SERVICE

Those of you who have ever received anything through the post from me, will know that I am always so relieved when things actually arrive..and that they haven't taken a month to do so! I am always muttering on about how unreliable the post is between here and anywhere, so you can imagine my surprise shock when, on having received a slip in the postbox today informing me of the arrival of a package, I went down to the local POST OFFICE and was handed a package that I had sent for only YESTERDAY!!

Admittedly, it had only come from Barcelona...but it was here, IN MY HANDS!!! Kudos not only to the Spanish mail delivery system, but also to the scrapbooking shop I talked about in THIS POSTCROMATISMES.

I suddenly thought, yesterday afternoon, that the shop just might have an online store...and YAY!...I was right.  I enjoyed a very pleasant half hour or so, browsing through the site-I wasn't buying you know, I was just checking! Before I knew it, there was a little basket of goodies waiting for me, and my finger was being attracted to the ' submit order' button. That was at about 2.30pm yesterday...and as I say, my package arrived this morning! No complaints about service there!

And here's what arrived

The papers on the LHS are from a Polish Company which I hadn't heard of - I LOWE SCRAP

These are the other sides of the paper, and I just love them! I'll be on the lookout for more from this Manufacturer I think!

They also had a great supply of Washi tape..and after much humming and hawing I decided on these two!

I honestly don't know what I'm most impressed with...the shop's or the mail's service!!....I do know that I'm hoping to get some scrapping done with my lovely new stash over the weekend- once I've finished staring at it and stroking it!!

Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you

GOOD MAIL DAY!

The days when you get one piece of HAPPY MAIL are pretty exciting, I'm sure you'll all agree...but the days when you get not one, not two, but THREE pieces are very exciting!

When I went to the postbox yesterday, there were not only two envelopes containing two 'Thank You' cards

but also the slip of paper to inform me that a package was waiting for me at our village Post Office, which some of you may remember is open for all of one hour a day! Off I trotted at the allotted time..well, actually I drove, as it was 100 degrees at the time!....knowing I hadn't ordered anything..well, anything that might be here already! What a lovely surprise to discover a parcel from our very own DEB TURTLE.....it had totally slipped my mind that I was the lucky recipient of her 'Kind-of-a-Chick-Flick Pass-the-DVD' idea!

Now, Deb, being Deb, didn't just send the DVD.... she sent as much of the experience as she could!

All she didn't send was  the daughter to  watch it with...and fortunately I happen to have one of these returning to the nest in a few weeks! (for a little while anyway). I have decided to keep my movie goodies till then, but then the DVD will be up for grabs again, so watch this space!

Also in the package was a new version of the TEAM TEAL  band...modelled here by my good self!...do you know how difficult it is to try to get a picture of a particular bit of the back of your head?!

Thank you Deb, for taking the time to put together such a great package while you have so much going on around you!

As I said very recently- Bloggers and Scrappers are a great bunch of people!

Good Mail Day!

On Monday morning I found one of the few  things that EVER excite me in our mailbox.......the slip of paper telling me there's a parcel to collect from our tiny Post Office..... which, as some of you already know, only opens for one hour every weekday!

I knew I hadn't ordered anything online...well, nothing that would be here so quickly ....I HAD just put in a little(ish) order to  SARAH'S CARDS...and though they are fairly quick, they're not THAT quick... and it didn't say that it was from 'Traffico', which would have meant DH had a speeding ticket from the previous weekend's trip to Barcelona (we had a spate of these last year!)....no, I really had no idea of what I was going to pick up.

At the allotted time, off I went ...and was delighted to discover some 'Happy Mail' !

Not only was there  the fab MAIL ART envelope itself to enjoy, and a very pretty card and word plaque from Ruth AKA ,FURRYPIG...but also

this book, which is part of SIAN'S 'Pass the Book' series.  Thank you Ruth!

I have to say that this may be one of the books I look at the pretty, awe-inspiring pictures in and will not actually produce anything...though oddly enough an idea has just flashed through my mind- watch this space!

Thanks for dropping by!

P.S. I managed a whole dance last night at Line Dancing, without bumping into anyone!! YAY!

Good Mail Day!

When I checked our post box last night, I found the coveted slip of paper telling me there was a parcel waiting at the Post Office for me.

It most definately indicated there was one parcel....what was it going to be? I have been waiting for a book from Ruth (which I must confess, I was sure had been lost in the Post), some new Moisturiser from Liz Earle, a couple of scrappy prizes I have won and some new scrappy 'bits' ordered from Sarah's Cards.

As you may remember me mentioning, our local Post Office is only open for an hour a day...so I got  all my chores done this morning (this is the 'big' clean this week, due to the  three weeks of houseguests I mentioned in yesterday's post), had a swim (to cool down) and then got myself showered and dressed in time to catch the last fifteen minutes before it closed......pretty good going if I say so myself!

Imagine my surprise when I got there and discovered there were three parcels......one of which was very obviously the book, I'm glad to say.

As you can see very clearly by the postmark, Ruth posted it on June 22nd...so either Royal  Mail or Correus (Spanish Mail) has been playing silly beggars! Hope you got the email to say it arrived, Ruth!

The next parcel I opened was my moisturiser...beautifully packaged as always, and with a 'freebie' of the cleanser I use too (I do love Liz Earle products).......only ordered online last Thursday, I hasten to add!

And lastly, my new scrapbook ( an AC 12x12 Modern Album) and a few other little things from Sarah's Cards.....again  only ordered last week!

All-in-all a good mail day!

Just to bring you up-to-date with Boo's fleas....the Vet used a newer, stronger treatment on her last night (he says the fleas have become resistant  to good old 'Frontline'), and she certainly hasn't scratched as much today! Fingers crossed!
