4x6 Photo Love

When I saw  Shimelle's  six- photo- challenge this month, I knew I wanted to use the photographs I shared in this post (the one about my dad on the horse).

Of course, my photographs were landscape and Shimelles were portrait, and I wasn't at all sure how the LO would turn out...but it's not too bad- I wouldn't say it's one of my favourites ever, but I think that may be down to my choices of paper, rather than the sketch.

I have shown the two pages separately , just for a bit of detail.

Sorry about the 'blobs' on the photos...I believe it was rain on the camera lens!

Today was Weight Watchers again.....and I lost 2LBS! After the measly amounts I've lost the last couple of weeks, that was really good news! I reckon it's down to eating salads (I can't even begin to think of cooking in this heat!) and hours in the pool( the only way I can stay cool!)

Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you

Two things to share......

.......First up, I lost three and a half pounds at the big weigh-in today!! That means that not only have I lost two stones, but I am a pound and a half into my next stone! To say I'm thrilled is an understatement...but I have to REALLY focus for the next week or so- temptation will call, as I am off to the UK for a ten day visit.

When I go back, my time is taken up visiting/ going out with friends or family who want to feed me and socialise with a few drinks! It's all going to be about willpower...I'm a grown woman who knows how to say no, aren't I?? This is the time to find out if I really have changed my ways or not....wish me luck!

The second thing I have to share with you is about my remarkable dad! I told you a bit about him HERE, but this time he has REALLY excelled himself.

The Boy's Brigade in mum and dad's Church are fundraising for Barnardo's and he got the idea into his head that he could  be sponsored to ride my SIL'S horse......of course we all shouted him down, told him not to be ridiculous -he's never been on a horse in his life etc.

Well, he sent me these pics last night

..and yes he got his wish. He only went once round the paddock and said that getting on and off was the worst bit of the experience. What a man! I have to point out here that he didn't manage to get out to Church on Sunday because he was so breathless, but three days later had determinedly ridden a horse . We will  never be able to say that my dad gave up his zest for life easily!
