Mum had decided that she wanted both herself and Aunt Sheila to carry a Book of Psalms, with just a small posy, instead of a bouquet of flowers. Mum's was white and Aunt Sheila's was to be blue. Seemingly, such books were called 'Missals'. Aunt Sheila went home and told her mum about the flowers and the missal, only to hear her telling the next -door- neighbour a few days later 'Sheila's being a bridesmaid to her friend, and is carrying a missile'. Her mum didn't realise she had got her words mixed up, but the neighbour looked somewhat alarmed, until Aunt Sheila came to the rescue and explained about the missal!
Here they are..and not a missile in sight!
Sorry it's just a short story, but it's been in my head this week.
Thanks for dropping in
