Life is a bowl(or at least a couple) of Cherries!

The big question for me, now that the cherries look like this:

is 'When do I pick and eat them?'  They are calling out to me, every time I pass, to be tasted, but if I do so now will I be sorry I didn't leave them a few more days(or weeks!)? I shall give them a few more days in the sun, I think - and then give them a gentle squeeze, to see if that helps with my decision-making.

Today was Weight Watchers day...and I have lost another pound! This second stone is coming off much more slowly than the first....and I'm a bit fed up about that. I'm hoping that when I am visitor-free I will get back into the swing of it again-I'm doing too much comfort eating just now!

Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you
Alison xx

  1. As a long-time cherry tree owner, I say your cherries are ready right now. Enjoy!

Our trees are covered in cherries as well......but ours are still tiny and white.....a few more months yet,I think.

  4. Oh you lucky thing! This brings back memories of a massive cherry tree we had in the back garden of one childhood home - but they were black cherries so we knew NOT to eat them when they were red. It was always a race with the birds to pick them when they were finally juicy enough! Yum yum!

  8. Alison, despite being the daughter of a farmer I can offer no help with the ripeness of cherries - your theory sounds good to me! :-)

  9. Well done on the weight loss. My 2nd stone was slow to come off too. I'm back on the wagon now so hopefully the 3rd stone will fall off pretty quickly... here's hoping! Good luck and enjoy the cherries.

  10. Oh, the cherries look too good to pass by. My aunt and uncle used to have cherry trees in their back yard, and would always share with my Mom. Cherry pie is my absolute favorite food in the whole wide world.
