I put it down to the fact that, because DH was home at the weekend, we had a few meals out (and, therefore a few drinks) and I also had rather a few 'cafe con leches'. I have been avoiding Cafe con Leche when I'm out, because they are basically a Spanish Cafe Latte........but, unlike the UK and USA, there isn't the option of 'skinny'-there isn't even the semi-skimmed milk option- they are,in other words high in fat/ calories. When my beloved is here, however, I tend to forget things like that and gaily order one every time we stop for a drink, or at the end of a meal. All-in-all, there were a lot of contributary factors ......but bottom line is that I didn't keep a tally of the blessed 'points' and have no-one to blame but myself. Add to that my two days of misery when he goes away again..and what do I turn to? KitKats of course! When I look back on it, I didn't stand a chance, but I am back on track. Today has been a much better day eating wise and Boo has had a jolly good walk tonight!
After the desolation of this morning, however, I went to collect a parcel from the Post Office....and was delighted to find a parcel of scrappy goodies from the lovely Natalie, over at SCRAPBOOK CHALLENGES. She had organised a MiniCrop for NSD a few weeks ago, and yours truly was the randomly chosen winner!
This was certainly enough to put a smile back on my face.....thanks Natalie! After gazing at them, touching them and gazing at them again, I managed to put the 'pretties' aside and get the 'Q' challenge for my 'A-Z of ME' album (again, over at Scrapbook Challenges). The challenge was to scrap about a question that has always 'bugged' you...
Today, this was the obvious one for me!
Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you
Alison xx
You know what Alison - sometimes life gets in the way of diets but you have picked yourself up and got back on track. A huge well done to you.
ReplyDeleteI so totally relate to the chocolate layout.
lol at the layout! Yep, I can relate too :) Sorry about the weigh-in but at least you can identify the reason and so know what to do about it, I'm sure next week will tell a very different story xx
ReplyDeleteI totally relate to that LO as well!!
ReplyDeleteMy downfall when out is mochas...especially Costa ones.
But...as you say...you know what caused the weight gain....and can get back on track this week....I still need to actually find the track!!!!
I'm so glad you are back on track today - it's inevitable that we'll jump track at times, but we just get right back on and keep going. I could totally use the answer to your question today, too? If you figure it out, let me know.
ReplyDeleteGreat page, I like the rosette, and how you did the question on a speech bubble! It's so frustrating when the weight goes back on isn't it, but sometimes you have to let go for a couple of days, just making sure you get back on track again straight away afterwards like you have. So don't be disheartened, just keep going! x
ReplyDeleteP.S. have you seen my giveaway?: http://bit.ly/j3YSwi
That's a great subject for a layout! My little things would include crisps, crisps and , um, more crisps..
ReplyDeleteAaag shame Alison! You were just enjoying some of the niceties of life & now you are back on the wagon LOL! Lucky for me there is the skinny option here :) Sure you will have lost it all in a week or two though so not to worry! Loving the pinwheels that you have made for your layout & the goodies Nat sent you! Thanks for joining Scrap-it-Lah - hope you can play along with this months "essentials" challenge :)
ReplyDeleteYey - for the good post day! You're having better luck than me! Keep going with the weight loss, I'm sure you'll reach your target soon, and a little bit of naughtiness is needed every once in a while :)
ReplyDeleteYou're allowed a little slip - especially in good company. Better luck for next week though - and what a great parcel to receive :D
ReplyDeleteThat stash will keep you going for a while. Congrats on winning - mind you if you keep scrapping you keep busy which always helps on a diet. Well done on getting back on track. Have a lovely weekend x
ReplyDeleteGlad you're back on track but I like to bear the phrase in mind 'a little of what you fancy does you good' I use THAT excuse all the time.
ReplyDeleteI know of what you speak :( I was so very close to Onderland but having eaten too many times in the last week with friends and family and in restaurants. Trying to get back on track but finding it a bit hard :( Good luck and I love the new layout!
ReplyDeleteAs long as you get back on track then a few treats don't matter Alison. Well done on getting that lovely stash and making such a great layout x
