.......Yes, she can! Well, the first two parts anyway! Prompt 3 found Shimelle challenging us to put a 'pretty paper kit' together....'What's so difficult about that?' I hear you say.....
Well for me, the difficulty was that we had to do that and then go on to put some pages together, using said kit......WITHOUT knowing what pictures were going to be used! I have NEVER attempted this before -I always start with the picture(s) and pull my colour scheme from there.
After having seen what some of my classmates said about having the same problem, and what they then went on to produce, I knew it was time to bite the bullet!
Here are the papers I chose:
Tonight I've gone a stage further and cut up the papers and put the pages together..... and I actually quite enjoyed the process! I'll know if I'll repeat it once I see if the photographs I'm about to print off actually work with the pages!!
Thanks for dropping by!
take care of you
Alison xx
Good for you! Looking forward to seeing your pages :)
ReplyDeletewoohoo! Go you! can't wait to see the finished pages. I like your choice of papers, quite neutral so they should go with lots of photos.

ReplyDeleteWell I love what you ave chosen to work together - it all looks really well co-ordinated. I always used to match my photos to my papers but now not so much and yes it still works somehow!
ReplyDeleteLove the color scheme! Yay to you for cutting the papers, I bet you find some wonderful photos to go with them!
ReplyDeleteI see some purple in the mix!! Love your collection Alison, and BTW your new photo looks Fantastic!!
ReplyDeleteGreat papers Alison! Way to go with the challenge. I couldn't bring myself to put the pages together without the photos. Now that my kits together, I'm pulling photos & putting pages together - 3 layouts so far.
ReplyDeleteLovely selection of papers Alison. I admire all you ladies who have managed to cut them up, I know I couldn't do it!

Lovely papers, can't wait to see what you come up with xx
ReplyDeleteI've been making kits for the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog all year and don't find this a problem as long as I have a variety of photos to scrap - it helps that I have years of unscrapped photos to choose from!
ReplyDeleteWhat does flummox me is Shimelle's starting point challenge where you seem to make most of the page and then add the photos!
Good luck with your creating!
Looking great! I adore your papers! I shall be checking out what you create for sure! Enjoy the party xxx
