As I previously mentioned, it was my Birthday at the weekend ......and for the first time ever DH and I weren't together (he still being in the US)! However, I was not left to celebrate alone, as DD came to the rescue and she and two of her lovely friends came down from Barcelona to help  me do so!

DD is like her father, in that gift shopping gets left as late as possible, so the girls  went off shopping on the Saturday afternoon...and I have to say that they chose well. When I they woke on Sunday morning, they presented me with a new charm for my Pandora bracelet (it's a little pile of books with a little owl on front) and some new perfume.

They then proceeded to make cupcakes

which, I have to say were deliciously yummy!!

We then went down to the coast for (late) lunch, and I discovered that I had left the memory card for my P&S camera in my laptop :(  We had a lovely meal..and I had two glasses of Kir Royale, as DD said she would drive home (I do love that girl!)

During the course of the weekend, we also watched some of my favourite movies

Given that it was a Birthday I wasn't particularly looking forward to because of DH's absence, I ended up having a lovely time....thanks girls!

Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you
Alison xx

  13. It all sounds excellent!
An observation of the girls slaving away in the kitchen[hehehehe] leads me to the question, does it really get that cold in Spain to warrant jumpers? I have this image of it being a scorching hot country all the time ...obviously not!
