SURPRISES IN THE POST

The first surprise package arrived a week ago...from the lovely MELISSA...and I have to confess the biggest surprise was when I opened it-I had TOTALLY forgotten that I was the lucky recipient of this book, as part of PASS THE BOOK YEAR TWO!!!!


 Although an interesting read, I have to confess that it has in no way inspired me to write a book (and certainly not one of the non-fiction variety)! Dillard describes the various places she has written books and her strategies (for want of a better word) for creating the ambience she seemed to require for writing. I am thinking J.K. Rowling didn't go to these extremes!

All you have to do then is pass it on through your Blog when you are finished with it, letting your readers know if it has inspired you(?) and a little bit about what you thought of it. 

My second surprise arrived on Monday, from RUTH who has committed to sending out Happy Mail every month this year


She sent a lovely selection of cards, which are very much appreciated as they are something I struggle to get over here...thanks so much Ruth!

    Hi Alison, catching up with you today, Hoping Boo is better now, my dog has also been poorly so know how you feel. I love those ribbon flowers, so pretty, what a shame about the almond trees although they still look so lovely in your photo's. Just one sketch has beaten me I'm afraid, I was so hoping to do lots of layouts but it didn't happen! Thanks for the reminder about Happy Mail, I have some cards ready to write & post Oh to be more organised or have more energy.... Oh & don't put me in the draw for this one Alison, my 'to do' list is just toooooo long x
