Seeing as it's so near Valentine's Day, I've decided to list my ten favourite romantic movies...in no particular order-except for the first one..it really IS my all time fave!!
- YOU'VE GOT MAIL
- AS GOOD AS IT GETS
- PRACTICAL MAGIC
- A STAR IS BORN (don't think I've EVER cried so much at a movie)
- MOULIN ROUGE ( a close second in the crying stakes!)
- SABRINA (the newest version)
- TWILIGHT (really the whole series so far!)
- STARDUST
- PRETTY WOMAN
- WHAT WOMEN WANT
Are any of your favourites there?..I'm off to see if anyone else in Blogland has remembered it's the 10th of the month !
Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you
Alison xx
I've only seen a couple of these movies. I just might have to check out a few more from your list.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid I'm not a great movie watcher...and prefer action to romance when I do watch one....but did enjoy Pretty Woman.
ReplyDeleteYou've Got Mail and Sabrina would be on my list, too. Last I saw, Shimelle did not have her post up yet, still waiting to link....
ReplyDeleteI've watched quite a few of those movies too, I've lost count of how many times I've watched Practical Magic, I just never get bored of it!
ReplyDeletePretty Woman is a favourite in this house
ReplyDeleteI like several of these but haven't even heard of Practical Magic! I had my TOTT on autopost instead of draft so it originally posted without the needed pics lol corrected now but Shimelle doesn't have hers up yet.
ReplyDeleteHmm - a few there I know and love (Stardust {ACE}, Pretty Woman & What Women Want, Moulin Rouge) and a few I've never heard of (Practical Magic, Sabrina) ... will keep my eye out for them. DH has just purchased the Twilight films for DD as they were too cheap to pass up!
ReplyDeleteLove pretty woman!! Twilight is another good one.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Pretty Woman and the Twighlight series! My all time favourite is Gone with the Wind.
ReplyDeleteNot really a great film watcher myself. However do love Moulin Rouge.
ReplyDeleteLove some of the movies you listed. One that I love that is not on your list is When Harry Met Sally.
ReplyDeleteLove your selection! I only know a few of them too, maybe I'll see if I can rent more on your list:)
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed Sabrina and As Good as It Gets. The leading man in Moulin Rouge made my heart go pit-a-pat!
ReplyDeleteRinda
Don't even know all of those but you must watch "The Holiday" & sure you will add it to your top 20 at least!
ReplyDeleteI liked Pretty Woman, but I haven't seen the others (perhaps I should have!).
ReplyDeleteMy favourite Romantic movie is "Jack & Sarah". I don't know why, I just really like it.
I also enjoyed "Sliding Doors".
I've seen one from your top photo and from the bottom photo there is only one I haven't seen! I love Stardust, one of my all time faves. Might have to drag that out again this half term.

I could watch you've got mail, again & again .... I have too. It's number one in my list too :)
ReplyDeleteyou've got some of my favs in your list.
ReplyDeleteStardust is brilliant. I love Robert De Niro in it. He's not what you were expecting :0)
ReplyDeleteLooks like we have pretty much the same taste in movies Alison. I love all of those, except I don't know Stardust or Practical Magic which I haven't seen.
ReplyDeleteThis was a great subject for the 10th of February! Believe it or not but I think Up is terribly romantic and made me cry! Oh, and I can't forget Princess Bride, a family favorite really!
ReplyDeleteI like Chocolat and Bridges of Madison County. Fortunately DH likes romantic movies so he will actually watch some of them with me!
