For the uninitiated, by the way, a panto (short for PANTOMIME) is a quintessentially British stage production - details of which you can find HERE....... one of the main conventions of panto is audience participation, including calls of "He's behind you!" (or "Look behind you!"), and "Oh, yes it is!" and "Oh, no it isn't!" ...hence the title of the post!
I have been to the last few pantos performed in our little theatre ..but this performance of THE WIZARD OF OZ was definately the best so far. From the sets, to the costumes, to the cast...it all just worked so well! There was lots of laughter and lots of booing, hissing and shouting....just like there should be at any good panto! I have to say that I'm glad I enjoyed it so much...seeing as I was helping out at three performances.
I hope you have done something you enjoyed over the weekend!
Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you
Alison xx
