LOOKING UP AND DOWN

A bit belatedly this week, I am linking up with HELENA'S photographic meme:

As I stood in the queue outside our Post Office earlier in the week, I looked up and just had to get the camera out and take a picture of the Church Tower from this angle: 


I then looked down to see these poor pansies trying to survive in the ever-so-dry soil in this plant pot.


Thank you all for the good wishes for dad ....I am pleased to report that he remained well enough to travel this morning, and that he, mum and Barbara are safely home.

    I am jealous too of your beautiful blue sky! Ours is grey still and it is oh so cold! That's a lovely church:) Glad your Dad got home safely:)

    That blue sky is gorgeous, our's have been very gray so it was nice seeing the blue. Glad your Dad was better and able to make it home ok.

    The up shot is lovely, but the down shot is a good reminder to those of us in colder climes that there can be a "down" side to that sun!
