For those of you who follow my blog on a regular basis, I'm sure you won't be surprised to hear that I would most definately count this little bundle of white fluff as 'precious'
As I mentioned in a previous post, Boo isn't actually MINE per se.......in fact, had the decision been mine she would never have become part of the family!
Kirsty had plagued us about having a dog for as long as I can remember, and I always managed to use my excuse of being allergic to many breeds of dog to avoid the issue for many years.....until we moved to Spain, leaving her 'abandoned' in the UK (I hasten to add that she chose to be 'abandoned'). Within a couple of months she had persuaded her dad that she needed a dog for company....though to give her her due, she carried out some research into hypo-allergenic breeds hence the reason she chose a Bichon-Frise/Llhaso Apso cross.
Boo came into Kirsty's life in August of 2008...and Craig and I instantly fell in love with her too!
Just as well, given that six months later Kirsty's job changed and she just wasn't able to look after Boo the way she knew she needed to. After a very tearful phone call, when she thought I would say we would have to re-home Boo, Kirsty was delighted when I told her the solution was for the little ball of fluff to come and stay with us in Spain....and I didn't even once say 'I told you that I would end up looking after a dog'!
That was in March 2009, and I just can't imagine not having Boo with me now. When Kirsty decided to go to Barcelona to study, she thought it would be a good idea to take Boo with her...but I'm glad to say she listened when I reminded her that a student lifestyle wasn't really conducive to looking after a dog! She has always said that when she gets settled, she would have Boo back, but has come to the conclusion that this little bundle of fluff belongs with this mummy!
In saying all that, when she returned fro the dog-sitter this afternoon, she ran straight past me along to Kirsty's room just to check her real mummy wasn't back...then came back to say 'hello' to me!
To read about the things that are precious to some other folks, why not pop over HERE.....and if you feel like it, why not join in...everyone is made very welcome!
Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you
Alison xx
Boo is lucky to have so many people who love her! Doesn't hurt that she's cute and all...
ReplyDeleteShe definately is seriously cute.
ReplyDeleteIt was so good to meet you at the weekend,Alison....and am looking forward to another meet up later this month!
How was your trip? My Bella is often called Boo and it reminds me of her when I read about your little one (despite my Boo being a human 3 year old, there are some very interesting similarities!!!)
ReplyDeleteBoo, is certainly gorgeous and so lucky to have 2 mummy's. looking forward to reading about your crafting weekend
ReplyDeleteI did't think to ask you about Boo, I bet you missed her. My waggy friend was very pleased to see me yesterday afternoon x
ReplyDeleteBoo's baby photo is quite adorable and I agree, our pets are extremely precious.
ReplyDeleteI would have chosen my dog too. Boo is adorable.
ReplyDeleteHow adorable was she when a puppy!!
ReplyDeleteShe's gorgeous! We have been having dog talks here - if I show TSO this photo, I'll never get any peace on the subject lol
ReplyDeleteThanks for a story this month when I know you were off having fun Alison. Much appreciated! I hope you had a brilliant time
Glad you got home safe Alison - it was brilliant to meet you after all this time. Loved reading about Boo again - she is a real cutie!
ReplyDeletewhat a precious little bundle!
ReplyDeleteShe is a beautiful precious little bundle. I have taken my photos for this month but haven't had a chance to write it all down. Hopefully tomorrow ...
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, great story! They burrow into our hearts and that's the end of it! What a cute little puppy she was! She still is adorable! Who could say "no" to that face! tfs
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post - and super pictures. I spend a lot of time taking care of Clara's dog, but Aria definitely prefers Clara when she's home. Which is just as it should be.
ReplyDeleteRinda
A lovely post and photos :-)
ReplyDeleteI think she is most precious but Kiera will always fuss Gracia when she is home rather than us.
ReplyDeleteBut of course Boo is precious - how could she possibly not be??? A lovely read Alison - hope you had a wonderful weekend - how brilliant to meet up with friends met first on line. J x
ReplyDeleteAww, Boo certainly is very precious x
ReplyDeleteShe is adorable. I can completely relate to your story. The four-legged member of this family is technically my son's dog. I didn't think it was a good idea for my son's girlfriend to give him a dog for Christmas a few years ago - college apartments are not ideal for pets. Now that my son has graduated and moved home for at least a little while, it is me who the pup keeps good company while everyone else is at work and school. I'll miss him when son moves out.
ReplyDeleteBoo is such a cute little dog! And I'm really glad you have her around for company since your girl and hubby are away so much. xo
ReplyDeleteAaaaw well all's well that ends well as Boo is now a great companion for you in Spain!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely of you to offer to take Boo! She has clearly won a chunk of your heart :).
ReplyDeleteAw - what a sweetie pie. Boo is cute and I have friends who love their Bichons too. Lovely to meet you last weekend - even if I'm not getting to comment until almost THIS weekend!
ReplyDeleteShe certainly is precious! Thanks for telling us a little bit more about her history with you.
ReplyDeleteOne of our dogs was originally adopted by my parents, but she's lived with us for over three years now. Even with her beagle antics, it would not be the same around here without her!
