LOOKING UP
These are the lights which have been put up all along the main street of the village
(I also have to say that what REALLY stands out to me in this pic, is the cloud.....it looks like an ultrasound scan picture of a baby in the womb!)
LOOKING DOWN
This is the Programme of Events for the celebrations...and although it says they started on June 14, that's only the ringing of the Church bells at 10pm each night for a week beforehand! The festivities start for real tomorrow night.
I am going to spend the next three nights with Boo sitting shaking on my knee...she HATES the fireworks and firecrackers!
Linking up with HELENA'S weekly photographic meme 'LOOKING UP AND DOWN'
Hope things are good with you and yours
Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you
Alison xx
Now I am absolutely CONVINCED that my imagination has gone on a permanent vacation. I would never have seen that in the cloud formation if you hadn't told me to look for it.
ReplyDeleteI can see what you mean Alison, don't know if I'd have spotted it myself - I don't think I have an imagination ;-) x
ReplyDeleteI don't think Rinda realised what she was starting when she added the cloud category, it's got us all thinking! I can see the baby there now you have pointed it out!
ReplyDeleteI can see the baby too - it is a miracle ... I can see something in a cloud!
ReplyDeleteReally! An ultrasound?! Yes, I see it but I am sure I would not have if you hadn't told me. I am of no use in the cloud category @@ Poor Boo :(
ReplyDeleteknow what you mean about watching every cloud. Hope you enjoy the fiesta when the fireworks and bells are not causing problems
ReplyDeletePoor Boo! I hope he isn't too frightened by the fireworks. Love your baby scan cloud!!! No chance of a cloud picture here, it's wall to wall grey:( Well, I suppose it could look like a grey blanket LOL!
ReplyDeletePoor Boo :(
ReplyDeleteI think the cloud pictures are turning into one of those ink blot psychology tests lol
Enjoy the festivities however you can. It's interesting that have a festival at such a hot time of year (for you). We have lots of activities in the Tampa area between November and May, but there isn't much happening in the superheat of a Florida summer--and we do have the occasional hurricane/tropical storm to add a bit of interest...
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome, I can see the face, it looks cute. Well spotted
ReplyDeleteWith it's leg in the air? Well spotted. This is the best cloud picture I have seen yet.
ReplyDeleteOh I so feel for animals during fireworks, I wonder what they think is happening
ReplyDeleteLove the cloud! I haven't had very many clouds to look for pictures in yet but I see your ultrasound baby.
ReplyDeleteHave you considered some aromatherapy for Boo. When we lived in Ireland the fireworks set off by neighbours bothered lots of peoples dog (we had a Lab who was terrified and once tried to jump through a closed window!). I was waiting at the vet just before Halloween one year and a lady was telling everyone who was there for sedatives (I wasn't, but lots were) about an aromatherapy blend that she has found worked wonders. I don't remember what it was but she put it in one of those plug in diffusers and turned it on earlier in the day. She found her dog stayed calm enough to no longer require sedating as it was hugely terrified of fireworks. She often had rescue dogs and it even worked with those who were scared of everything after being abused. Might be worth looking into so he doesn't get so worked up. Poor thing :(
I love your pairing this week. And there's definitely lots to be seen in your clouds!
ReplyDeleteRinda
Great shots and I see exactly what you mean about the cloud x
ReplyDeleteGreat up & down photos. I do think that's an interesting cloud, too.
ReplyDeleteOh Poor Boo! Ok, now that you mentioned it if I squint yes I can see that. I don't think I have any imagination with clouds lately. I must have used it all up as a kid.
