just a taste of what I've been up to...I even got to go to a Xmas performance
in one of the schools we have supported..I didn't understand most of it, but it was wonderful!
I know there's still shopping to do....and wrapping...and general household chores....but if it doesn't happen exactly as I plan, it's not affecting anyone else's plans or expectations...only mine...and I admit to my expectations (of myself) being too high at times- but by this morning I feel as though it's time to focus on 'just being' and to accepting that Christmas doesn't have to be perfect- just meaningful and as happy as you can make it.
Whatever the next few days bring, try to find time for 'just being' and enjoy the season....I'm hoping for another post before the day itself, but 'just being' might get in the way!
In case I DON'T get back.....I hope you and yours enjoy a peaceful, happy and blessed Christmas!
Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you
Alison xx
..and a lovely Christmas to you and yours Alison. merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you, also!! Hope you have a nice, calm holiday! I have yet to get cards out but am working on it. It just wouldn't be Christmas if my family and friends got their card from me before the holiday!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a lovely and totally stress free time with your family! I know what you mean about the "expectations" - I'm looking at a less-than-perfectly-clean home and realizing that the only one who cares is me.
ReplyDeleteA very Happy Christmas to you.
ReplyDeletea good remember to sit and enjoy amidst the rushing about - enjoy yours

ReplyDeleteAlison, here's hoping your Christmas turned out just how you wanted it. Twinkling lights, Christmas carols, familiar movies all sound pretty close to perfect to me.
ReplyDeleteI hope you all had a nice relaxing Christmas and are enjoying the season.
ReplyDeleteI hope your Christmas turned out wonderfully - and agree our expectations can be too harsh on ourselves and no one else notices!
ReplyDeleteI was shocked to see it had been 11 days since I blogged! It's just that time of year. Hope it was a wonderful Christmas.
