VALENTINE POSTCARD SWAP

You might remember that in THIS post I mentioned SIAN's Valentine Postcard Exchange.

Well, after signing up for it I actually struggled somewhat in finding postcards.....yes, I KNOW that sounds ridiculous given that I live in a place of great beauty and which relies heavily on tourism, hence there are shops selling postcards everywhere! What I mean is that I struggled to find the the RIGHT KIND of postcards........with a picture of something that could be classed as something that I loved, or actually meant something to me.

Of course, it didn't occur to me to look online for postcards or even to make my own, as MIRIAM did with this beautiful card I received from her:

Thank you Miriam

I was beginning to despair somewhat and was thinking I would just have to choose some generic, boring 'Costa Blanca' cards....but lo and behold, when Craig and I actually found some time to go out for coffee last weekend, I passed a shop where this jumped out at me:

It was perfect!....Blue skies, cocktails by the pool and a little white bundle of fluff who  looks vaguely like my Boo!

I was in the door like a shot, bought the required amount and headed home to write them. I am hoping that at least the UK ones might have arrived, but the US and Canada ones may take a while yet.

At this point, Miriam's card is the only one which has arrived....given the postal system here I am not at all surprised, so will be checking my mail box with interest for the next couple of weeks!.....I will share the others as they arrive.

Thanks again Sian for another fun swap....I'm really enjoying seeing what other friends are receiving!

Hope you've enjoyed your Valentine's weekend doing something you enjoy!

Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you
Alison xx

  8. Thanks, Alison, it was the perfect card to receive on a grey (as usual) UK day and it made me very envious of the sunshine, and warmth, a good choice.

  13. That is perfect for you! I've received 4 of my 6, and mine are just starting to arrive (even though I posted them early in the month).
To answer your question, I used moo to make my postcards. Since I was making post cards for the "Liberate Your Art" swap, I made some for Sian's swap as well. It's really easy to upload photos and turn them into post cards.
