Life in the Slow Lane: SNAP!

Friday, 12 February 2016

Belatedly joining in with the weekly photographic meme organised by my friend HELENA.

I have just returned from a trip to the USA..... Craig was there on business and I tagged along!

We flew in and out of New York, but the rest of the time we were in Phoenix: whilst there I was taken to a HUGE Asian Supermarket and I was intrigued by some of the produce there:

GOBO (apparently it originates from Japan)

JACKFRUIT (supposedly the largest tree-borne fruit in the world!)

COCONUTS (I thought all coconuts were brown!)

Oh!...and those hands?......

I forgot to mention who took me to said supermarket:

....our very own DEB TURTLE!

.....and her lovely daughter CARRIE!

As always, it was fun to spend some time with these two!

Hope you've all been well while I've been gone

Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you
Alison xx

  1. What a wonderful trip! It does a body good to see those happy faces :)

    1. I'm going to try to comment by replying to Sian's because, for whatever reason, Blogger isn't giving me another option to comment. :o)

Anyway! It's so fun to see these photos and remember the fun time we had together. It was really fun to take you through that Asian market. Glad to know you are home safe and sound. Now come back! ;o)

  2. Lucky you! I live in the same country, and haven't yet hooked up with Deb. The one time I was in Phoenix, she was at a family wedding in Tennessee!

  3. Such fun! I loved my short time with them, Deb's in a new house now so I guess I'll have to go back :) Did you taste any of the fruits?

  4. I do love to wander around supermarkets when I'm travelling and lovely to hear you had a visit with Deb

  5. I too always thought coconuts were only brown. So great to see those 2 smiling faces and know that you had a great time with them.

  6. I bet you had a fantastic time xx

  7. Sounds like a good trip. I love seeing pretty pictures of the produce department - there is something artistic there by nature. How fun to enjoy time with Deb & Carrie.

  8. Looks like a very fun outing with Deb & her daughter. Wandering in American grocery stores is one of my favourite things to do when I go into the US of A

  9. Isn't it always so much FUN to meet up with blog friends!!

  10. That does look interesting. All unfamiliar to me!

Thanks for leaving a comment....I love reading them all!
