Weight Watching

After New Year I made the decision that 'enough is enough'.  I was at my heaviest ever...and totally and utterly fed up with myself. I discovered that there is a  Slimming Club (they're not allowed to call themselves Weight Watchers) in the next village to us, and joined up on the first Thursday in January.

I lost 14lbs in the first eight weeks, and today's 3lb loss brings my total to 18lbs! I feel so much better, and can get back into clothes I haven't even looked at for over a year!

It's going to be a slow process, but supposedly that is the best way to keep the weight off.

The group itself is fairly small, with about sixteen 'regulars'......that means everyone gets to know each other quickly, and it's quite a nice little social event. One of the girls used to run a tearoom, and she brings her lovely teasets and makes tea and coffee-and even brings homemade WW cookies and scones!

Everyone is really supportive, especially our two 'leaders'. When someone reaches a 'goal'-be it their final one, or just a stone- they present them with a pretty bouquet of flowers (we meet above the local Florists). I made this Layout of mine.

Hopefully, I'll get another one in the not too distant future..... I'll keep you up-to-date with my progress.

Thanks for dropping in!
take care of you
Alison xx

  8. Hi Alison, saw this pretty one up in the gallery :) Congrats again on your weight-loss! I could do with some of that!! It is inching off me but ever so slowly & as soon as I look in the direction of a chocolate it bounces back on again! Horrid!! And I would so rather scrap than exercise!!

  10. Wow, Alison! Congrats on the weight loss!

About the music challenge, the LO does not have to be about music, just use something music related on your LO. If you use a song title, or use a pp with some music on it, anything like that would work. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

  13. well done on the weight loss. We have a small club here too, I really think it helps keep everyone's motivation up when they attend the weekly sessions. Good luck on reaching what ever your next goal is.
