When I was in Whitley Bay in August, it occurred to me how different the British 'seaside' is to the Spanish 'Costas'...and not just the weather!
Where else do you get promenades (and roundabouts) decorated with such wonderful floral displays (I DO miss English flower gardens), get such rugged, atmospheric coastline and, of course, the great British Tearoom to shelter from whatever the weather throws at you!
I decided to use the photographs I had taken, while walking from Whitley Bay to Tynemouth for Shimelle's 4x6 Photo Love for July...and used the above for my journalling
Hope you're having a good weekend, whatever you're up to. It's trying hard to rain here...we've had a couple of showers, but not enough to quench the poor, parched earth.
Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you
Alison xx
lovely Alison and I do agree with you, must get round to doing this class
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your layout! I have seen others do this one and I think it's a fun design :) Those are pretty photos... I think we are prone to miss the familiar, what we knew, or grew up with :)
ReplyDeleteLovely photos and a cute layout. I also love the English seaside towns.
ReplyDeleteGreat layout,Alison....nothing compares to the British seaside.
ReplyDeleteNeat layout! I love how different coastal areas can be :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a fab LO Alison! Love the little 'book' effect. I'm lucky to live in an English seaside town, I love the sea wherever it is!
ReplyDeleteFantastic Alison - you have really captured the essence of a quintessential English seaside town.
ReplyDeleteThis is a brilliant layout. The photos are beautiful and I love how you added each pictures. Seacoast are so different but all beautiful in their own way.
ReplyDeleteA really gorgeous layout, Alison. I love how you've got so many great photos on it
ReplyDeleteIt must be the cool, rainy weather that does it. I think the prettiest place I've ever been is Vancouver, British Columbia. There were flowers everywhere!
ReplyDeleteFab layout - love the fold outs!
ReplyDeletereally fab layout I have always wanted to try the multiple photos on the page like this :)
ReplyDeleteHey this looks great! The next one seems a bit complicated but I will definitely use this one again. Yours is a great take on it.
ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous photos you've taken, you make it look so so good :)
ReplyDeleteI totally love this layout Alison! The colors and matting on the photos is wonderful and I love the clean lines of the design. Great way to add all those 4x6 photos!
