Stage Three

Image

After the exercise of choosing papers and cutting them up (breathing deeply and crossing toes...it's hard to cross fingers when you're slicing paper, I discovered!)....Shimelle wanted us to prepare our pages WITHOUT knowing what pics we were going to use (at this point I was wondering about her sanity, but it worked in her video...so in for a penny......). I ended up with about nine pages, which, I have to concede, looked OK- BUT.....now to find some pics that would work with them!

I have a load of pics from the NYC part of our trip to the USA in 2008, so decided to head there first...and here they are

For the second one I decided to use Prompt 6 and downloaded the 'LET THEM EAT CAKE'  digistamps from LITTLE MUSINGS ,and made the little embellishment next to the cake box with one of them!

I am pleased to say that not only did I survive the process, but  rather enjoyed it...though I still have to find another six pages worth of pics (I have another NYC one underway)!

Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you
Alison xx

  1. I give you credit - I would have had a hard time cutting paper without a plan in mind. The pretty paper party sounds like it's going to be fun.

P.S. I like the new photo of you on your blog.

  3. I still haven't done this prompt, but your pages most definitely don't look like you made them first and then added the photos. Looking good. I re-organised my stash this week. Now to get down to the business end and give this one a go.

Love that you changed your picture :-)

  12. They work brilliantly :) It may have been a scary process, but it paid off, didn't it? I might even do it again some time - after I've fully recovered!

  13. Alison, did Shimelle give you the page layout sketch as well, or, did you design your own page? I only ask because I think I would freak if I had all that paper and no direction .... you have done very well!

  15. Wow, great job Alison. I wasn't able to take the step of putting my layouts together before choosing photos, so I'm still pulling photos & creating layouts as I go. Three completed with my kit so far.

  18. Not only did you survive - I also think you have totally cracked it! I did a post about doing this for Gotta Craft a while back - and a couple of people have said that once you have done it a few times it's kind of addictive
