I am really happy that DH is getting here for a few unexpected days...he is a great help with mum and dad...they both love him to pieces and he really does make them laugh!
In between taxi-ing, I have managed to get a couple more LOs finished for my niece's Birthday.
I can't believe how young my brother and SIL look in this!
A double page spread I did for some of her copious amount of 'Friends' pics
I've been experimenting with Washi tape!
The REALLY good news is that mum and dad have brought over the final pics I need, which are the all-important 'birth' pics. One of the reasons I find it so hard making albums for other people, is that you are constantly reminding them to scan pics for you and they think they have months in which to send them....they don't realise how long an album can take to do (well, at least how long it can take ME to do!)
Anyway, must go as it's Line Dancing tonight!
Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you
Alison xx
It's certainly good to see that your hosting isn't affecting your scrapping! I have friends with a house in Portugal and they talk about the same silly season - the road to the airport is a well worn one
ReplyDeletebeautiful pages! Here's hoping you survive silly season!
ReplyDeleteMore lovely pages for the album.
ReplyDeleteWonderful project, thanks for always taking time to stop by my blog! I agree on projects for others like this, it can take time waiting for requested things!!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely pages :)
ReplyDeleteLovely pages Alison. Hope you get time to yourself in between all the running about.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you enjoyed doing these, but I can see that when you are depending on other people it can be stressful.
ReplyDeleteI'm in the middle of my silly season right now -- the end of the school year. So many events that the girls spring on us at the last minute, so many checks to write for this and that. I'll be relieved when June 10th comes around and I send them to gymnastics camp.
ReplyDeleteLove the pages you've done for your niece. Take care!
That's quite a bit of airport taxi-ing you're doing these days! So glad your parents remembered the photos you need. It takes me a while to complete an album, too. I haven't done many as gifts, but I'm gearing up to start on Christmas gifts this summer as I've finally made my mind up what I want to do for the neices & nephews.
ReplyDeleteI love what you've done with the Washi tape! You are one busy woman! I'm going to try to peek in on a free washi tape seminar tonight taught by Monica Bradford. She is one of the Layout A Day alumni and it should be very cool. You should register. If you miss it, and I may, they are going to run it for a short time afterwards. Here's the info:

Love your layouts!
Well you are still managing some scrapping so all is good!
ReplyDeletegreat that the album is coming together. I have never used washi tape, but one of my teamies on UKS sent me some as part of a RAK. so pretty I am struggling to use it though, hee hee.
ReplyDeletehope you get a break from that taxi route!

Your LO's are very pretty, and I know what you mean about a whole album taking ages! I've still not finished my christmas journal! Good luck with all the taxi-ing, but have a lovely weekend with your DH :)
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed your line dancing, glad to hear you're still going. Hope you have a wonderful time whilst your parents are over, and of course whilst DH is home too x
ReplyDeleteThe album is really looking good. Hope you enjoyed your line dancing :)
ReplyDeleteOnly another scrapper/crafter realises just how much time and effort goes in to in every page. I've not yet succumbed to washi tape, but love the way you've used it here.

Great looking layouts Alison. Ahh silly season - like that - I'll have to tell my sister as she would be so able to relate to that living in Halifax (a big summer destination for Canadians).
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful LO's, Alison!! Love what you did with the Washi tape!! ~ Blessings
