This is Deb's original picture:
Now, I don't even POSSESS anything remotely as advanced as PHOTOSHOP, but I use an old programme called ROXIO PHOTOSUITE 7, which suits my very basic needs when it comes to editing and have started working between it and PICMONKEY.
So off I went and had a 'fiddle' and this is what I came up with:
I BELIEVE that I 'posterized' the original, changed the colour slightly, did something called 'focal soften' and then added a texture called 'burst'.....next time I do something like this, I shall pay more attention, but in the meantime I'm rather pleased at having tried something new- and of how it turned out!
I must confess to having to look long and hard for an appropriate quote...no doubt something better will pop into my head as soon as I press the 'publish' button!
Thanks Deb, for encouraging me to extend my creative boundaries today!
Wishing you all a happy weekend!
Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you
Alison xx
I'm impressed. Love the rays. Have a great weekend x
ReplyDeleteLove this quote, your edits to the photo suit it!
ReplyDeleteA great altering...and a lovely quote.
ReplyDeleteI love the softened red hue you have here and the rays. Great job.
ReplyDeleteHooray for you, Alison! I LOVE what you did with my photo, and also the great quote you used. I think it's so fun that most of us who participated this week had to stretch our boundaries when it came to the editing process. I even learned some stuff! And I'm usually the same way each week when I look for a new quote...search until something grabs me and then I'm good to go.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for participating in my challenge this week. Have a lovely weekend! xo
very artsy Alison! and I love the quote.
ReplyDeletelove how you changed the texture of the parasol and great quote
ReplyDeleteCongrats on trying something new...I would say you achieved big time with this one!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely lovely Alison and I think the quote is perfect.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great quote that is!
ReplyDeleteVery nicely done and a super quote which is new to me. Glad that learning something new was so satisfying :).
ReplyDeleteI think your quote is perfect! That challenge would have terrified me on a computer, but I would have loved it using all of the photo editing apps that I have on my phone. Somehow they don't seem so scary on an iPhone :-) I tend to download the apps when they have a free promo and have quite a collection of them ... I really should use them more.
ReplyDeleteTat Deb is so clever. I'm gojng to have to think abut this.
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job with that and I love the quote x
ReplyDeleteHighly impressed
ReplyDeleteI know I'm way behind on this, but I love what you did. The teal lettering is perfect.
