It's been a hectic week, and so far I've said:
HELLO to two afternoons trying to re-shelve the books in the Charity Shop Library..we have moved the Library to a different room, meaning (obviously) that all the books had to be moved too...unfortunately the person who moved them DIDN'T keep them in alphabetical order and it has been a mammoth task trying to get them back in the right order!!
HELLO to cleaning terraces and patios
HELLO to one morning working in the shop and one morning at the Drop -in- Centre
HELLO to last night of Line Dancing for the summer
HELLO to a very pleasant lunch out with friends
HELLO to someone having turned our temperatures up to an almost-constant 30 degrees from 9am until 8pm every day this week!
HELLO to having booked another few days back in Scotland later this month
HELLO to dad being back in hospital again...hopefully not for long, as they stabilised him quickly and there don't seem to be any added complications this time.
Given that I'm likely to be MIA for the rest of the week (due to ongoing Library and Shop refurbishment duties!), I just wanted to post my pictures for HELENA'S weekly photographic meme LOOKING UP AND DOWN:
LOOKING UP
I suddenly noticed this Hibiscus rose growing up through our neighbour's tree...it has obviously found a route through the fence (which is about 7 feet tall) and continued growing upwards...I keep the bush pruned to about 3 feet on our side of the fence
LOOKING DOWN

I'm hoping to catch up with some blog reading over the weekend...until then I hope you are having a less hectic week than me and that you and yours are well!
Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you
Alison xx
Hope your dad is back home soon and what a very busy time you are having of late!
ReplyDeleteThe flower looks beautiful....though I'm thinking maybe you should have photographed books!!!!
ReplyDeleteHope your dad is home soon.
Sorry to hear about your Dad :(, and hope his recovery is swift and your Mum does not worry too much ... What a mammoth task in that heat, redoing the Library was! You've captured the delicacy of those hibiscus flowers perfectly from both angles.
ReplyDeleteThinking about your dad Alison and hoping he is soon on the road to recovery. Am so impressed with all the work you have put into your library in that heat - I would be wilting. The flower photos are beautiful - hibiscus always reminds me of my Mediterranean holidays. They brought a smile to my face, so thank you my friend. J xx
ReplyDeleteI admire people who can line dance. I just can't. My brain just can't make my feet go where they need to go.
ReplyDeleteI hope your dad gets back home again soon
ReplyDeleteReshelving? You know what I'm going to say, don't you? :) I'd be there to help out in a flash if I could. My fingers are getting itchy just thinking about a bit of shelving..
what a busy week, I'm with Sian on getting itchy fingers at the thought of bringing alphabetical order to a room of books! Love hibiscus flowers, they always feel exotic. Hope your Dad is doing well
ReplyDeleteThat's what I love about Spain...the Hibiscus! They are such pretty vibrant flowers. Hope your dad is home soon x
ReplyDeleteYour hibiscus look so much healthier than mine... don't think they were really meant to grow well in this climate (we bring them in during the winter...)
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, shelving... takes me back to junior high school when I was in "Library Club" (translation - slave labor!)
What lovely photos of your hibiscus! Sorry to hear about your dad, and really hoping that he is out of the hospital soon! xo
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about not being able to find five minutes. Things have been so hectic here. I'm just now getting around to blog reading myself.

Hoping your Dad is home again soon. Another here who feels quite excited at the prospect of alphabetising that collection of books! Beautiful flowers.
ReplyDeleteYour week made me tired just reading it! I hope your dad is better soon.
ReplyDeleteI hope your Dad's hospital stay is a short one and he's home soon. I just shuddered when you said whoever took the books down didn't keep them in order - Ugh!
ReplyDeletePretty snaps, takes me back to when our neighbors lived close enough that their flowers grew over the fence.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures and it sounds like you have a very busy week. Hope you dad is ok x
ReplyDeleteI can sympathize with hectic--I don't even want to think about last week (and, btw, there's a reason I'm commenting almost a week later!).
ReplyDeleteLove the looking down one...
Wow well that Hibiscus is flourishing in the heat!! We have plenty of them in our garden and in Summer they are pure delight!!! Well done you for all your volunteering too! Sounds like a mission organising all those books...
