I have not been idling the hours away, I can assure you....but the last of the houseguests have gone and I am now trying to get back into a routine.
I am hoping to catch upon some blog reading over the next few days.....and to get some blogposts written....but I'll leave you with this weeks photographs for HELENA'S weekly photographic meme:
LOOKING UP
My good self looking hopefully for the Roadside Recovery vehicle, whilst standing on the side of the motorway (freeway) wearing the obligatory, highly attractive and exceedingly heat-retaining High Visibility jacket, after THIS happened......
LOOKING DOWN
.......fortunately I had just dropped my friends at the airport and was actually on my way back home!.....a bit of a hairy experience, but I survived with my Spanglish -and WITHOUT tears- to tell the tale!
I sincerely hope life has been slightly less fraught where you are!
Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you
Alison xx
Welcome back Alison ... I've been away too and haven't yet found time to catch up with people, but I want to congratulate you on your lucky escape!
ReplyDeleteOMG Alison! Did that tire just blow up?!? So lucky you weren't hurt. And glad this story has a happy ending.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Alison! I'm so glad you are ok - so scary! I like your bright colored vest. ;o) Is that a requirement in Spain if/when you are stranded roadside? Nothing like that here in the states, unless you are a road worker or traffic cop.
ReplyDeletePS: I'm proud of you for having the presence of mind to take some up/down photos! Well done!
So glad you came out OK from the tire incident! Glad to hear from you again!
ReplyDeleteYikes - never good and made worse in the heat no doubt!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! If it had to happen, thankfully it was on the return journey. Must have been scary. Hope you didn't have to wait too long!
ReplyDeleteOh no! Poor You! Good to 'see' you back though:)

ReplyDeleteOh my! That would have been a hair-raising experience. I am so glad that you had already dropped your guests at the airport so that they weren't frantically worrying about missing their plane while you waited for assistance. Gotta love those hi-viz jackets!
