LOOKING UP AND DOWN

It's time to join HELENA in looking up and down again...and I've been out in the garden again!

LOOKING UP

called the Bower Vine, it is almost treated as a weed here...it spreads everywhere and looks beautiful when flowering prolifically in late September through to October

LOOKING DOWN

however when they drop and wither, they leave piles like this to sweep up!

I hope there's something pretty to look at in YOUR garden at the moment!

Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you
Alison xx

  1. This is so pretty, it reminds me of something else, I'll have to look it up. I have a lovely red rose and my pink rose 'The Fairy' still flowering. Nature's gone mad.

  2. Love this up/down set, Alison. It's funny, our yellow bell tree looks very similar to this, and we have little yellow flowers as ground cover underneath it too.

  3. I have not come across these lovely flowers before - envying you the upward look. We have plenty of stuff fallen to the ground though!

  5. I've never heard of this plant before, how pretty it is. What a shame it's flowers are not long lasting. Mostly autumnal colours in our garden now, and already the trees are starting to lose their leaves.

  6. I unexpectedly still have marigolds blooming in the garden - and plenty of dead leaves on the ground

  9. i was just thinking I need a nice day to get a photo of Ayla and the japanese acer outside that is turning a beautiful shade of pink/red/gold. Although it is getting a bit out of control.

  11. Nothing's blooming here as we had a very dry summer. A few rain showers lately, but now the leaves are falling and the grass is going dormant for the winter.

  12. Lovely photos Alison. I have some white lilies in a jug which are gorgeous but dreading when they start to fall as the pollen is such a pain to clear up. I know some people snip out the stamens but I think that the contrast between the white and orange is what makes them so beautiful.

  13. Beautiful flowers Alison. All our stuff is dying right off, even though the roses look like they might just give us one last surprise.
