11- A HORN
I took great care in stalking the horn players while I was at our Fiesta last week...and managed to get this shot:
I then arrived home a couple of days ago to Kirsty having a panic about a huge beetle on my 'noodle' in the pool..on looking I discovered this wonderful specimen (complete with horn!):
1- A SIGN WELCOMING PEOPLE TO YOUR TOWN
Have you ever seen a more boring sign?!
9- A BAKERY
The bakery in the next town...in our village bread is sold in the two Grocery Stores
Would you believe that I actually forgot to take a photograph of the parade during Fiesta......fortunately there is another Fiesta at the end of August!
I am linking up with RINDA (the mastermind of SSH) today, as she invites all those who are taking part to do once a month.
My list now looks like this:
3. Birds on a wire
4. A group of tourists
9. A bakery
10. A photo bomb (someone found lurking in the background of photo; the lurker may have intended to disrupt the picture or may be doing it unintentionally, but the background lurker is a surprise to the photographer)
12. A mascot
13. A sunrise
14. A parade
15. A juggler
16. A sign in a language other than English
19. A public garden
20.
21. A photograph of you with something representing the season (recognizing that the season will be Winter for our friends in the southern hemisphere). Note: you may not use a substitute for this item.
If you find something on the list too difficult, you may substitute one of the following items for anything on the list, except for Item #21:
Alternative A: A kite, hot air balloon or blimp
Alternative B: A bird house
Hope your hunt is going well...it's not too late to join in you know!
Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you
Alison xx
Great "horn" finds, Alison. I will have a hard time getting a photo of a parade, so I'm a bit envious that you are going to have another chance to grab that photo! It's fun to see glimpses of your town.
ReplyDeleteI have to say, our bakeries are so bland down here - run of the mill chain type stores for the most part!
ReplyDeletelove the idea of you stalking the horn players and love the other horn too. I'm finding bakery tricky as I don't want to use Greggs!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos Alison! Love your horned beetle!
ReplyDeleteOer, scary beetle! I'm smiling at Helena's comment...we don't have Greggs here, but I know a girl who thinks Greggs is heaven on earth and only wants to visit her brother next year because his flat is very close to one lol
ReplyDeleteThat horn is so clever however I would have been freaking out at the size of that beetle!
ReplyDeleteYou definitely got horns covered! Although honestly, I don't think I would have managed a photo of that bug... my first instinct would have been to squash it.
ReplyDeleteYou made me laugh with your comment about the sign! Like the beetle photo :)
ReplyDeleteThat's an amazing horned beetle! And it is nice to see such a local bakery. I'm going to the 4th of July parade this week, and I might take some photographs of the local bakeries.
ReplyDeleteRinda
That sure is some beetle lol. Well done on getting so many photos
ReplyDeleteWow you are getting a lot of the required photos and I think I would be throwing a fit if I saw that beetle too!
ReplyDeleteYou're doing great on the hunt!
ReplyDeleteYou must be right out in front, with so many stroked off your list already :). Your beetle with horns is a clever one!
ReplyDeleteLove both of your horns, the beetle is awesome creatively!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant photos!
