SATURDAY STARTING POINTS

I had great plans for getting lots of scrapping done yesterday. There was only one problem.....it was 40 degrees here, and my scrapping space is actually our 'naya' ( basically a conservatory/ sunroom without a glass roof)...and it was literally like an oven for most of the day! Even with the fan on, my brain was frying and I had to give up till later in the evening.

In the end, I managed to get another page of DD's NYC album done, using Shimelle's  STARTING POINT

I've adapted the sketch to 8x8, and I'm trying not to get too carried away with embellishments for this album. I'm using BASIC GREY 'SWEET THREADS' collection, as it's quite urban, but 'girly' at the same time.

Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you
Alison xx

P.S. I lost 1kg this week (2.2lbs)!! YAY!

  15. Thanks for your comment on my blog.

Congratulations on the weight loss, I'm trying to loose weight myself so I know how hard it can be. I guess at least if it's hot you might only want salads and things anyway, right? Or does that not work?

I love the colours in your layout, and the twine around the circle is a cute way to jazz it up, i'll have to try that!

  23. Allison, I've finally found a few minutes to catch up on blog posts--it's been a crazy few weeks! Lots of 10- and 12-hours days at work.

Anyway, I'm loving your daughter's NYC album, especially the background with the handwritten white text. Looks almost like a chalkboard.

Good work! Your daughter is going to love this.
