A SIMPLE LAYOUT.....

.....courtesy of this sketch over at SIMPLE AUSSIE GIRLS (SAG)

Template 35 Sharons challenge

I loved the six blocks, though couldn't get it to work with them being on the RHS of the LO, so I put mine along the top.

I found a pile of photographs my MIL had given us, and although most of them were of DH's childhood there were about a dozen or so of when Stuart was a baby.  So instead of having to cut up this page

and deal with more 'fancy' cut photos, I was able to scan and use the 'new 'ones (though I'll probably cut it up later to use the other pics). Much as I look at those original pages and cringe, I'm glad to have them with that little bit of info on them.

  Remember.... if you stop by on Saturday, DEB will be hosting a Housewarming Bloghop which I'm taking part in!

Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you
Alison xx

  3. Think the sketch works well rotated. Seeing these baby photos makes me realise I have not really scrapped that many of when mine were babies. Must retify that soon

  13. I am with Sian, no need to feel embarrassed by the earlier pages. They are as important as the newer ones. I really like how you made the sketch your own.

  14. Great take on the sketch - don't cringe tho as they documented all the memories and as you said you were grateful for the words too...that is the important bit :)

  15. There are a couple of things I really love about this post - 1) that you used the sketch and turned it sideways, and 2) that you did a layout using photos of Stuart. I'd love to see you do a bunch of Stuart layouts as I think it would be a very healing experience for you. {{{hugs}}}

  19. One mark of an accomplished scrapper is flexibility--you've got that part nailed for sure! I like what you did with the new LO, especially putting the photo with the outstretched arms in the middle as that really helps draw everything else together.

  20. I love the redo. I've redone a few layouts that were my older ones and I used those darn decorative scissors on everything. Thank God for scanners. I've been able to salvage most of them! I love the vibrant colors you used on the new layout. That's an awesome sketch!
