Well....our cherry trees are covered in blossom....but it's going to be sometime before there's any sign of fruit!!
ReplyDeleteThe Bird of Paradise looks gorgeous.
ooo lovely! Love the bird of paradise, how lovely to be able to grow that:) Just posted some pics of my garden on my blog, it's looking good at the moment.
ReplyDeleteLoved your garden pictures. Where are you located? I've never seen bird of paradise in the ground here in the south.
ReplyDeleteWhoa! Look at all those cherries!!! Yes, I feel your excitement, and I understand it completely. This was the first year I've grown tomatoes and it is so much fun to see them pop up here and there. And our blood orange trees that were close to dead when we moved in our house last August are covered with little tiny baby fruit. :o)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the "fruits of your labor." What in the world are you going to do with all those cherries?!?! ;o)
Oh,yes! I remember that! I think the excitement in our garden is that the trampolione has made it through another winter without blowing away!
ReplyDeleteLovely flowers! I can't believe I was not a follower of yours, just sorted that now. Thanks for all the lovely comments on my blog x
ReplyDeleteThose bird of paradise flowers are so pretty and exotic. How lucky to have the climate to grow them in the garden.
ReplyDeleteSince the drought was announced in the UK and the hose pipe ban came into force in Hertfordshire we have had almost non stop rain so our garden is looking a bit waterlogged at the moment!
I'm so glad your cherry tree is flourishing; now you'll have so many more fruits to enjoy!! The bird of paradise flower are beautiful; I think those flowers are the ones that say 'exotic tropical paradise' to me.
ReplyDeleteI'd be excited too if they were growing in my garden! I fell in love with bird of paradise flowers when I went to Madeira a couple of years ago, very jealous!
ReplyDeleteI can feel the excitement, when we were walking yesterday evening, there were some bird of paradise flowers growingbeside a villa. How lovely to be in a climate where they grow naturally.Enjoy your cherries x
ReplyDeleteWow - a lot more cherries. I remember the post and so pleased to see the update this year :0)
ReplyDeleteHow lucky are you having a cherry tree? They are my favourite fruit. I love the birds of paradisem too. The dog has turned my garden into a mud bath! xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous garden, how lucky to have such exotic and lovely plants
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! No here it is Autumn so the garden is still looking good (as everything is pretty much evergreen here)but nothing exciting. My potted Begonias are flowering though and they are very pretty :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I'm really enjoying photographing our lavender and chives right now. Thanks for the reminder about the book give-away. Somehow I missed it before.

What a difference a year makes! My 6-apple tree is now covered in blossom, but a recent visitor has told me that I should remove a portion of the fruits early on so as not to overload the branches with heavy apples and exhaust the tree itself ... off to Google and find out if he's right!
