THIS YEAR'S EXCITEMENT IN THE GARDEN

Those of you who were reading my blog around this time last year, might remember THIS POST, when I was very excited about the Cherry tree and the Bird of Paradise plant in my garden.

This year, not only has the Bird of Paradise bloomed again, but this time it has THREE flowers!

and the cherry tree has gone from having two fruits, to an absolute plethora of fruits!...can you feel the excitement from where you're reading this?!

I hope there are exciting things happening in your garden too!

Remember you still have time to leave a comment at the end of THIS POST, to be put in the draw for my giveaway (until midnight GMT)

Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you

  3. Loved your garden pictures. Where are you located? I've never seen bird of paradise in the ground here in the south.

  4. Whoa! Look at all those cherries!!! Yes, I feel your excitement, and I understand it completely. This was the first year I've grown tomatoes and it is so much fun to see them pop up here and there. And our blood orange trees that were close to dead when we moved in our house last August are covered with little tiny baby fruit. :o)

Enjoy the "fruits of your labor." What in the world are you going to do with all those cherries?!?! ;o)

  5. Oh,yes! I remember that! I think the excitement in our garden is that the trampolione has made it through another winter without blowing away!

  7. Those bird of paradise flowers are so pretty and exotic. How lucky to have the climate to grow them in the garden.
Since the drought was announced in the UK and the hose pipe ban came into force in Hertfordshire we have had almost non stop rain so our garden is looking a bit waterlogged at the moment!

  16. What a difference a year makes! My 6-apple tree is now covered in blossom, but a recent visitor has told me that I should remove a portion of the fruits early on so as not to overload the branches with heavy apples and exhaust the tree itself ... off to Google and find out if he's right!
