You may remember that some months ago....in February to be exact.....SIAN organised a VALENTINE'S. POSTCARD SWAP! Well, I only received five of the expected six postcards but didn't bother bothering Sian about it......you never know with the post here!
To be honest I hadn't really given it another thought, so imagine my surprise when JULIE walked in and, after getting herself and her few(!!!!!!) crafting supplies....honestly, you have never seen how much stash these ladies bring with them!.....organised at the table next to mine, she walked around to me with a little package, explaining that SHE was my missing Postcard sender and had just never got around to posting it, but knowing we would see each other here brought it ....along with a couple of other postcards, a notebook and lots of little embellishments! I DID laugh; it was just so totally unexpected and sweet of her....thank you again Julie.
So, just a few(!) months late, here is my last postcard:
I'm hoping to get a post written about what I actually ACHIEVED on the day....in between all that chatting, eating and drinking...in the next day or so!
Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you
Alison xx
Oh how funny . . . and a lovely surprise to start the weekend!
ReplyDeleteAck! I so wish you had let me know. My swaps come with a full guarantee and I would have been more than happy to send you one so that you had your six. I did it for someone else and it's my pleasure. I wish you had..
ReplyDeleteOh how lovely!
ReplyDeleteOh how nice to have the swap secretly extended like that. All good things come to those who wait.
ReplyDeleteI didn't receive all my cards either, what a lovely surprise.
ReplyDeleteHow nice that you were able to complete the set of six in the end!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! I was there, but didn't know about it, and it has really made me smile. Great honesty and courage on the giver's part and gracefulness on the part of the receiver :).
ReplyDeleteOh how nice of her making sure you finally got it - good card considering! :) Looking forward to seeing some of the pages you got done - I probably would have been chatting so much I wouldn't have got anything done. :)
ReplyDeleteBetter late than never!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you got your last postcard and lovely you were given it in person xx
ReplyDeleteLOL! How lovely that she remembered to bring it! Nice postcard too!
ReplyDeleteSounds like something I would do.
