Much as I'm enjoying catching up with family and friends whilst here in the UK, my mind has started to wander to next Monday, when I get on that plane and go home to Spain!
Here are my Ten reasons for looking forward to going home (in no particular order):
1. To get away from the cold, wet weather.
2. To get back to the sun and heat....even if I do have to spend most of the next few weeks indoors, out of it!
3.To get back into my own bed...there's never another like your own!
4. To see our little dog, Boo..I forget how much I miss her when I'm away.
5.To see how my garden is looking.
6.To have coffee from my NESPRESSO machine!
7.To get back into the swimming pool ......believe it or not I'm missing the exercise!!!!!
8.To get back to eating normally...far too many temptations over here!
9.To get back to wearing my sarong, instead of layers !
10.To get back to SCRAPBOOKING...am having bad withdrawal symptoms now!!!
This is the picture I have as my screensaver on my laptop, which is very different to what I am looking out the window at , right at this moment!

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog. Yes, Pinterest does occupy some of your time because it's addicting. But it's also very fun and interesting. Glad you enjoyed your time away, and safe travels home.
ReplyDeleteThere really is no place like home, is there:)
ReplyDeleteSure your wanting to see the back of the UK now with all the nonsense going on there! And I agree - the cold is miserable (although I thought it was actually summer there now??)
ReplyDeleteJust love the screensaver.
ReplyDeleteVacations are nice but there is definitely a time to go home isn't there!
ReplyDeleteThere really is no place like home is there? Much as we all enjoy to get away, it's always good to come home again. I think I would be missing that view too!
ReplyDeleteWe have just come back from Florida for a week of sand and humid, hot weather. So happy to be home but still HOT!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great list of reasons to return home. We love to travel, but after a while we get that feeling - time to go home!
ReplyDeleteOh it's your fault it's so wet at the moment is it?! What a summer we're having :o(
ReplyDeleteLovely list about home-longing - especially identify with the bed!
What song/movie is it with the line "there's no place like home...", maybe The Wizard of Oz? Anyway, it sounds like that's where you are. Safe travels.
ReplyDeleteLovely list Alison - I can never wait to get home when I am away.
ReplyDeleteLike Dorothy said "there's no place like home" We've traveled alot this summer and still have more to do, I love it but I am so ready to just stay at home for awhile.
ReplyDeleteI always miss my bed when we are away, there is nothing like it! I'd miss the pool too ... if I had one!
ReplyDeleteI love your 10 things! I am with you in loving holidays, but there is nothing like going back home again. Hope you have a wonderful time with your friends and a safe journey back home.
ReplyDeleteDorothy did say "There's no place like home" and I tend to agree with that!
ReplyDeleteThere is no place like home, at the end of the day. Enjoy the rest of your stay and time with your family.
