The only thing is that I'm about to have to go and remove all evidence of it, as I'm off to pick DD up from the bus later this afternoon! She has decided to come home for the weekend, which would be lovely, were it not for the texts I've received this morning telling me she has a nasty cold....in fact 'man flu' she says! I am SO not a good nurse...in fact I get downright crotchety if either she or DH are poorly and expect looking after. I'm one of those people who would rather just go to bed and be left well alone if I'm not well..and therefore expect my nearest and dearest to be the same!
Anyway, I just wanted to share a couple of the LOs I made. This one is made with MY MIND"S EYE papers,as was required by Susanne's IN GOOD COMPANY CHALLENGE over at 'Snaps and Snippets'
This one was for a scraplift challenge over at SCRAPFRIENDZY
Well...am off to get rid of the evidence. Have a lovely weekend.
Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you
Alison xx
I love how you put them on black. Looking great!
ReplyDeleteThese are both cute layouts, Alison. Thanks so much for joining in again. You make it look so effortless.
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to spend some more time on the album. I'm just like you Alison - when I'm ill I like to hide away on my own and think everyone should do this when ill.
ReplyDeleteThat striking black background makes a really nice change to all the white ones I'm seeing around at the minute!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean - as long as the cups of coffee keep coming I'm happy to be left alone the rest of the time!
Nice layouts. I love the beautiful patterned papers, and you used them so well. I love MME products, just didn't get my buns in gear to get the layout done in time.
ReplyDeleteAwesome pages, Alison. The second one with the circle background is my fav. :o)
ReplyDeleteI love the pop of pink and orange on the black. I, like you don't want to be around anyone and the Chosen One wants to be tended @@
ReplyDeleteGreat LO! I hope your DD is well enough to have a fabulous visit! That's too bad that she is under the weather.
ReplyDeleteI love the black - it makes the colours really pop. Hope you have a lovely time!
ReplyDeleteGreat layouts, they look so 'cool'! I love the circle in the background of the second layout. x
ReplyDeleteI love all these pages - so different yet so unified by being on black CS!
ReplyDeleteThese LOs both look very striking on the black backgrounds. I love the second one with the circle and the strips. Gorgeous.

This is going to be such a great album Alison!
ReplyDeleteWhat absolutely lovely pages Alison. I really, really love the first one. As for being a nurse to the family David is famous for saying to me, during a bout of quite bad illness, "I certainly didn't marry Florence Nightingale, did I?" I am so bad that sometimes, when he is in bed with a migraine I completely forget he is there and don't bother to go and see if he wants anything for hours.
ReplyDeleteAnother two gorgeous LO's for your DD's album, she's going to love it! I hope she isn't too ill and you have a nice visit with her :)
ReplyDeleteI love the layout and the contrast of colours, looking good so far!xx
ReplyDeleteFab layouts, this is going to be a great album.
ReplyDeleteLove your nursing comments - I too like to be left alone but if someone else is ill I relish in nursing them, monitoring temperatures and painkillers, cooking their favourite foods and trying to tempt them back to feeling better. For 24 hours. After that my patience is gone and how ungrateful not to be better immediately after all my tlc!
So glad you've got more ink - the pages are looking fab :) I hope your daughter is feeling lots better and you're having a lovely weekend xx
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not the only one. I want to be left alone when I'm sick, and I think everyone should do that too. Love the pink and greens in the first layout. Stay well this weekend!
ReplyDeleteLovely layouts, the black really makes the colours pop. I also really live the strips of patterened paper with the circle, two great layouts.
ReplyDeleteReally really love the placement on that first layout - definitely one of my faves of yours xx
ReplyDeleteDoes your daughter not read your blog?! Mine checks in all the time... 2 lovely layouts here - enjoying your adventurous paper choices & the bling!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful layouts Alison and love the MME papers..gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a great week ahead.
Hugs
