DAY 4
The day my camera 'died'!
DAY 5
The day of the Christmas cake
DAY 6
Counting down to Christmas
DAY 7
A tale of two Christmases
PLEASE tell me I wasn't the only one with a BIG perm!!! ....and forgive the quality of the pics- they are scans of photos which started life
in a non-acid free album! The two photographs are from the same day....there are very few photos of my papa and I together but we had this one taken on the day DH and I got engaged.
Now I'm off to have a look at what everyone else has been up to.
Enjoy whatever you're up to this weekend
Thanks for dropping by!
take care of you
Alison xx
I love how your album is coming together and that Christmas cake is just fabulous.
ReplyDeletei think we've all had that perm in the past!!
ReplyDeleteYou were not the only one with a big perm - oh goodness, did I have some big hair in the 80s! :>)
ReplyDeleteYour pages look great!
Beautiful pages. How nice that Pam bought the cake for you! It's a fantastic cake, I can see how you fell in love with it! And I'm sorry to hear about your camera! I know how you feel. My P&S camera has gone missing and I had just sold my digital SLR. :( I'm loving your pages... especially the journaling. It's so fun to read. :)
ReplyDeleteSadly you were not the only one with that perm....what were we thinking of!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI would have had a perm if I'd been allowed one! The row there was the day my sister rebelled and got hers done anyway..
ReplyDeleteYour album is coming together beautifully Alison
What a fabulous cake - I'd have fallen for it too. I'm enjoying your format for JYC - might tempt me to join in next year
ReplyDeleteOh yes Alison - I had big permed hair too!! lol!!
ReplyDeleteYour pages are lovely, the cake looks delicious and i like how you have underlined "I" won't be eating it for weeks afterwards - that would be me!!
I'm loving your JYC pages, Alison. Your journaling is lovely and I'm happy that you shared it. And yes, I had a big perm head for a while myself. :o)
ReplyDeleteMy point and shoot has died too - has two lenses but only the zoom works - was gutted so I asked Santa for one too :0)
ReplyDeleteSome great memories there Alison & I love your simple, achievable way of working on this. Your handwriting is also fab!! Nikon have a great back-up service in almost every country in the world. Go online & google the place to send it in Spain & I'll bet they can fix it - they've repaired my D5000 twice. The Coolpix is a great little P&S so it's worth a try. They send a courier to your door to collect & they return & it's very reasonable - ours is thousands of km's away & they did that for me. And I must say that is the most beautiful advent calendar I have EVER SEEN :)
ReplyDeleteSome really lovely pages, I think you look great with the perm, I was born in the eighties so didn't have the perm, but I did have a terrible bowl cut inflicted on me!
ReplyDeleteI must say your album is a joy to see & read :) oh yes I remember having the perm from hell. Lol.
ReplyDeleteI love that cake, it's gorgeous. You're doing so well with JYC :o) I didn't have a perm, mainly because I hate going to the hairdresser and go as little as possible!

Fabulous journaling -- love your album, it has a timeless feel to it. I hope Santa arrives early with a new camera for you!
ReplyDeletei have naturally curly hair so was never a perm victim but egads remember when men go them! That cake is gorgeous, what a nice gesture.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your camera! I hope Santa and his helpers get the hint xx
ReplyDeleteThat cake looks gorgeous and I sincerely hope the camera is replaced!
ReplyDeleteLooking good Alison - including the perm - I too had one!!
ReplyDeleteLove your handwriting and am envious of this postcard format!
Your advent tree is gorgeous!! Sorry about your camera! Did you try a different memory card. I had that happen one time and it was the memory card that went bad. ~ Blessings
