A very good Monday morning to you all......and especially to SIAN and her merry bunch of 'wavers'!
This morning sees me in that very rare position over the summer months .......alone and able to make as much crafty mess as I please..even in the kitchen which is the coolest room in the morning! In any other room I need to turn a fan on, and you can guess what THAT does to paper and embellishments!!
The weekend?.....it was a waving farewell to good friends, sheet and towel washing, then ignoring the housework and immersing myself in a trilogy of books which have been calling to me for ages ( BELLE, THE PROMISE and SURVIVOR by LESLEY PEARCE). I hadn't read any of her books before but I was really drawn into this family saga....the final one has still to be finished, but I'm working on that! There was time for a hospital visit and a visit to my LITTLE OLD LADY, whose Birthday it was on Saturday......obviously some scrapping too!
I'm looking forward to a visit from Craig later in the week....and hoping to be planning a holiday with him at the end of September...I do hope you've all got something to be looking forward to!
Thanks for dropping by!
take care of you

ME ON MONDAY
As anyone who reads my blog regularly knows, I am no seamstress in any shape or form! Even so, I have been taking part in FIONA'S Friendship Quilt project; to date , all of my squares have been hand sewn as I have never owned a sewing machine...but as from today I am the proud owner of a brand new second hand sewing machine;
The good news, SIAN, is that your square is now underway; the not-so-good-news is that you are the guinea pig for my fledgling machine skills!!
The weekend?......it was a Project Life catching up (all of two weeks!), housework catching up, being Front of House at our local theatre group's commemoration of the two World wars and taking MY LITTLE OLD LADY to watch the MOORS AND CHRISTIANS Parade (I feel a separate Post coming on) at FONTILLES...she thoroughly enjoyed the spectacle, as did I!

As normal, a varied and interesting weekend...I do hope yours was too!

ME ON MONDAY
Today was haircut day....I decided to try something new, but I'm not sure?!
The weekend?.....it was a watching FROZEN (twice!!), which led to downloading the soundtrack and dancing round the kitchen to 'LET IT GO' ,which led to thinking that it's just as well it's just me and Boo here at the moment!!
It was finishing the book I bought at the airport last week(DAUGHTER by Jane Shemilt...so good!).
It was planting some new bedding plants
.... and unfortunately it was spending the best part of Sunday afternoon at the local hospital , after MY LITTLE OLD LADY had a nasty fall....she was discharged today ( they don't keep you in hospital long here) but we have arranged for her to go and spend a few days in FONTILLES until she gets her strength back.
*ME ON MONDAY is the brainchild of SIAN, at whom I'm frantically waving!
Wishing you all a week filled with good things!
Thanks for dropping by!
