SIMPLY A MOMENT

TUESDAY FEBRUARY 17.....07.30

The cacophony that is the crowing of my neighbour's two roosters has rudely awakened me.....I can tell by the lack of daylight it's earlier than I really wanted to be awake!

I am aware of the sound of snoring from the bottom of the bed...the noise obviously hasn't disturbed Boo and she is twitching happily in her sleep.

I close my eyes and think back over my weekend  visit  to Scotland; I drove through rain, sleet, snow and sunshine...it's a long time since I've driven in snow, but I managed to avoid panicking and doing any damage to  the hire car- or to anything else!!

We were able to get dad out for a while on Saturday ; only  for a couple of hours, but that was long enough for him.... thank goodness for Garden Centres with nice Coffee shops!

my brother came in very handy for pushing the wheelchair!

I feel myself being 'patted' through the bedcovers and open my eyes to find that Boo has wakened and is telling me she needs to be let outside...heyho!, so starts my day.

LOOKING UP AND DOWN......

.....in Scotland, where this weekly photographic meme originated ( the brainchild of HELENA)

If you are a regular reader you will know that I was back in Scotland last weekend.....you will also know that I have been back there a few times this year..and you will also know that the weather in Scotland (or, indeed, most of the UK) has not been so great this first six months of the year!

Now admittedly, I DID check the Weather Forecast before I went and I knew I shouldn't need the winter woollies this time, but I was still shocked when I stepped off the plane and, not only get blown down the steps, but:

LOOKING UP......

saw this sky...not a cloud in it!

LOOKING DOWN

I had been brave and not worn my boots this time...and I realised my feet WEREN'T at all cold!...in fact I had to swap my long sleeved tee-shirt for a vest top, as soon as I got to mum's!

Sadly, for those still in West Central Scotland, mum tells me the weather has reverted to type and the sun has bade farewell yet again!

I hope you mange to see some sunshine this week , wherever you are in Blogland!

LOOKING UP AND DOWN

Rather VERY belatedly this week, I am joining in with HELENA'S weekly meme.

As you probably realise, if you follow my blog, I am in sunny (and, yes today it IS sunny) Scotland.

I decided to take my 'up and down' pics while I was on the plane coming over

LOOKING UP
the man beside me obviously WASN'T a blogger...he looked totally bemused!

LOOKING DOWN

Flying over the Pyrenees

I arrived to find dad improving, and he was sent home from hospital yesterday... he's glad to be home, but will be taking it easy for a while yet!

Hoping life is good with you all....I am hoping to catch up with some blog-reading later!
