CATCHING UP.....

....with some scrapping this weekend!

You may remember that at the beginning of last year I committed to joining JO in her  FIVE FAVOURITES  project....and that thus far I have gotten as far as MAY!

As it turns out, on going through my photographs from 2016 I have realised that I didn't take as many pictures as I might normally do in the second half of the year.....so there will be no five layouts per month for the rest of the year, but I AM determined to finish recording 2016!

With that in mind, and some spare time this weekend here's what I've managed to produce:

This is a scraplift from JO herself...this is her original:

These were 'stolen' from Kirsty's FB page...the photo-bomber is her friend Imane!

I hardly even took any photos when 'the girls' were here...this is us having a last drink whilst they waited for the bus to take them to the airport.

Although I haven't kept to my original committment, I am indebted to JO for giving me a focus for my scrapbooking ...something I had lost for a while.

Hope you are all having a good, but not TOO chocolate-filled weekend!

Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you

MEMORANDUM MONDAY

Joining in with SIAN a little bit later in the day that I had planned...but for a change it IS actually on the right day!

Unfortunately I am car-less at the moment......there is a problem with the electronic dashboard and it is currently in the local garage for (hopefully) repair. One of my friends graciously loaned me her car on Saturday morning and I was able to go for some food shopping. After returning the car to her-and fitting in a bit of luch- I had the urge to be creative for the first time in months...and here's the results of the rest of Saturday:

These pictures have been lying on my craft table since well before Christmas, and are the final two for my FIVE FAVOURITES for last May!!

Sunday saw me working in the garden ...taking stock of what has been growing while I've been gone...then having lunch with friends (all of us being without Valentine partners for various reasons).

Dessert...Lemon Chiffon and Strawberry Meringue......YUM!

Did I learn anything? ...I learned that 12 metres is equal to 39 feet 4.441 inches...that's the distance I cover in twenty steps (I found this out whilst trying to set up my new FITBIT)

I'm off to find out what else was discovered by blogfriends this weekend....have a good week everyone.

Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you

A WEEKEND'S WORTH OF LAYOUTS!

Good Morning fellow bloggers.....and Happy Halloween to one and all!

When I arrived here just over eight years ago, Halloween was recognised by very few people...only children who had British parents really knew anything about it. I have noticed in the last couple of years it has become more popular and by this year it has REALLY taken off; our local Bakery has a window display and has made some really great looking Halloween themed cookies! Last night, while driving to a Charity event, we were stopped by the Police to let a parade of toddlers dressed as pumpkins, witches etc. cross the road......unfortunately it was dark AND I was driving so no photographs!

Anyway....what I REALLY was going to share with you (before going of at a tangent) are the layouts I managed to get done last weekend:

Taken at an Easter Afternoon Tea

Two lots of flowers I received over the Easter period

This is the postcard I sent as part of  SIAN's Valentine Postcard Exchange

The first Double page layout I've done for ages...an afternoon at the park with my youngest niece

My friend Pam and I at our local Indian Restuarant

ANOTHER night out at ANOTHER local restuarant!

Needless to say I haven't managed a BIT of scrapping since last weekend and don't have high hopes of it happening this weekend!

Hoping YOU might find time for something creative this weekend

THE PROMISED LAYOUTS

You might remember that  a few weeks ago  I was at a BLOGGER'S WEEKEND  and that since then have promised to share the layouts I made with you.....so here they are:

This would be one of my FIVE FAVOURITES for MAY.....there is some hidden journalling about a very special friend of mine

Another one from MAY...Kirsty and her Craig took my youngest niece to the Zoo and had to have THEIR faces painted too!

This will be one of APRIL'S five.....

......an extra one I slipped in for March

Another March favourite.....this layout was part of  RUTH'S annual challenge...basically we end up with a collection of the same (or very similar,VERY random)  items and have to produce something with them.

FIVE FAVOURITES

Chasing my tail again here, but slowly getting there!

Thanks to JO I have been scrapbooking again....so much so that I have actually order a new album- the first one for a couple of years!

I shared my first two layouts for February HERE, and at last am getting around to posting the others:

I've also chosen my Five Favourites for March:

Celebrating our 35th wedding Anniversary...these will probably go on one page

Spending a rainy afternoon playing video games

Mother's Day morning coffee

Young at heart!......Jean and Eric met in hospital and have remained firm friends

It's unlikely that I'll get them all completed by the end of the month, given that I haven't even started and am off  to visit mum and dad for a week, on Monday....more catching up when I get home!

have a good weekend my friends

Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you
