A couple of Layouts

I managed to get a bit of scrapbooking done this week...the weather was much more settled and mum, dad and DD were quite happy to lie around the pool reading (apart from the ice-cream day of course....see previous post).

There were a few NSD Challenges that I fancied trying, and though I haven't managed them all, here's a couple I completed.

This first one was for a Challenge over at Scrapbook Challenges and I ended up using this  sketch by Tracy, over at ScrapFriendzy.

Image

I rotated it clockwise, to work with my photograph.

Apart from the orange paper (and I can't remember what collection it's from!),everything else was from my stash..the flowers are all Prima.

The other LO I completed was also for Scrapbook Challenges , but I also used it for a 'mixed alpha title' Challenge over at ScrapFriendzy.

Again, the papers were all from my stash, and I had been loaned a 'Cuttlebug' to try so embossed and debossed my butterflies. The border along the bottom is a ' Paper Ribbon Doily' by BASIC GREY.

Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you

Scrapbook Challenges NSD/Thank You Pamela Blog Hop

HAPPY NSD!

It's a very special  NSD Blog Hop over at SCRAPBOOK CHALLENGES today. Pamela, the lovely lady who started the site, is 'retiring' to spend more time with her family. Today's Blog Hop is also the members' there way of saying 'thank you'  for all her hard work and inspiration. I have been a member there since last July, and have enjoyed the inspiration and friendships I have found there.
Pamela has handed the reins over to the very talented Brynn, whose Blog HERE is the start of the Hop today...why don't you stop by and see what yummy prizes are up for grabs...and what talent there is on the site?

As our 'thank you' to Pamela, we are all using one of her sketches for our post today. This is the sketch I have chosen

and this is my take on it (sorry, the light isn't so good here today, so it's not a great pic!)

I hope you might have time to pop over and have a look!

Thanks for dropping by!
Take care of you

A couple of Layouts

I managed to get a little bit of scrapping done this past couple of days. It's poured here today, so it's been a day in...though it cleared up enough at about 6 o'clock, to let me get Boo out for a decent walk.

First off, I scrapped our Easter treats, for an 'Easter Colours' Challenge over at .Scrap-Friendzy

I used some of the new 'goodies' that arrived from Stop and Craft last week. The background paper and pinwheels are from AMERICAN CRAFTS (Hello Sunshine) and the diecut sheet and journalling tags are MAKING MEMORIES (Dilly Dally). The gorgeous butterfly came in the March  Kit from Scrap-Friendzy

I spent part of today checking out blogs and, after visiting Rene's Blog went off to check out the Let's Scrap site.

I discovered they are having a month of special challenges for NSD....and decided to join up! I managed to get my first challenge done today. It was actually Rene's challenge...a 'Recipe' challenge, part of which was to use a previous LET'S SCRAP sketch. This is the sketch I used (sorry about the quality, but I think you get the drift)...I used the left hand side.

For this one, I used papers from FANCY PANTS (It's Your Day), a mix of Alphas from my stash and the altered, grunge bird was from the April SCRAP-FRIENDZY kit.
